Phalaenopsis amboinensis

Nicely fragrant Phalaenopsis orchid species. Long lasting waxy flowers can have a background color of white or yellow. They frequently form a pleasant barred ring patterns over flower segments. Native to Indonesia and the name implies that it's origin was on the island of Amboin. (Species Orchid)

Phalaenopsis bellina or Phal violacea var bellina

The sweet smelling favorite Phal hybrid of most, described by Eric Christenson to smell of Fruit Loops. Flower stems are sequential and can produce flowers for years, so do not remove unless they brown on their own. In the past, this Phalaenopsis was also referred to as Phal violacea. The color of the blooms is a background of yellow to green, magenta markings centrally and down the inside edges of the lateral sepals. It is very beautiful indeed. Native to Malaysia and East Malaysia. This orchid species prefers to be grown 60 degrees or above. (Species Orchid)

Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi forma sanguinea

Many of these are blooming truly nice. Indian red flowers with a slight halo of yellow at petal edges. If you attended the National Capital Show and Sale in October 2010. Our orchid display featured a first bloom seedling of this cross. Likes to dry more between waterings than a regular Phalaenopsis. Spicy mild fragrance. Premium. Phalaenopsis gigantea

One of the slowest growing of all the Phalaenopsis species, but worth the wait. It is a magnificent species with long lasting waxy flowers that are highly fragrant. Pendent flower stems are produced between the leaves and should be allowed to hang. One of the least offered of all Phalaenopsis species. Bright white flowers of incredible substance have cinnamon brown bands. Native to Indonesia. Phalaenopsis javonica

Rare species native to Indonesia produces flower stems underneath leaves. Yellow flowers are marked with tangerine and purple and are best viewed when plant is placed on a pedestal. Excellent plant for growing under lights. Evergreen stems should not be removed unless they brown on their own, for this Phal can bloom year after year on existing flower stems. Phalaenopsis stuartiana

Warm growing orchid species native to the island of Mindano in the Philippines. Plants can produce up to 100 flowers on a single branched flower stem. Flower count increases with plant age. Some Phal stuartiana can have a nice sweet fragrance. Flowers are bright white with yellow highlights in the lateral sepals and light. Lateral sepals and lip are also decorated in paprika colored speckles. Very attractive flowers. Foliage is also a plus on this species for it is mottled with decorated leaves. Bloom size. Chrisandra Chao Praya X Vasco Mishima Lime

New addition to the website in June 2011. These are very limited. Orchid blooms are taking on the shape and form of the Chrisandra Chao Praya parent but have the enhanced bright green coloration of Mishima Lime. Nicely fragrant. Easier to flower than Vanda and have a smaller growth habit. Upright stems on these first bloomers are producing 7-10 flowers. Intensity of green background has been slightly variable. These are not clones. Free flowering.

This is the coolest thing I have ever offered for sale and I only have 3 of them. The first one I take to judging, gets an AOS award. Orchid fragrance is wonderful. Rhyncostylis gigantea variety alba

Nicely grown plants in wooden slat baskets. Leaf spans 15 plus cm. Nice albino form of a very fragrant orchid species is offered. Grow in Phalaenopsis light conditions for best growth and flowering. Ronnyara Snow Flakes

What is a Ronnyara. It is a Vandaceous orchid with a combination of parental genus' that include, Rhyncostylis, Aerides, Vanda, and Ascocentrum. These orchids have been produced from seed so expect to see some variance in lip coloration. Most have bloomed white flowers with plum blue lips. One or two have boomed entirely white. Vasco Viboon Velvet 'Perfection'= (Ascda. Tubtim Velvet X Rhyncostylis coelestis)

Pleasingly fragrant blossoms are held on upright flower stems. White flowers with violet-blue lips radiate around the stem. Flower size is approximately 1 1/2 inches across. Delightful and dainty. Rhyncostylis coelestis makes this vandaceous hybrid easier to flower than straight Vandas. Recommended. Bloom Season is variable with more bloomings occurring in February-March. Low price does not reflect plant size. We have many of these in the greenhouse. This is a good beginner type Vandaceous orchid.
